Ericaceous Compost is a more acidic type of compost and is used for acid loving plants from the 'ericaceae family'  These plants like acidic conditions and hate limey alkaline soils needing an acid soil to thrive. The most common acid loving plants are Rhododendrums, Azaleas, Camellias, Heathers, Magnolias, Acers (Japanses maples), Blueberries, Pieris Japonica, among others. Our Natural Ericaceous topsoil is blended to produce a high quality, low pH sandy loam soil which is screened to 10mm for a fine stone free finish.

Good quality ericaceous compost and topsoil contains feed and nutrients that will sustain a plant for 2-3 months, there after you should add in a plant feed.

Our vehicles are maintained to the best standards to ensure the safety of our drivers and customers. All have GPS trackers fitted to them, which helps us provide accurate feedback for up-to-date delivery times. Our fleet has achieved FORS Bronze accreditation proving we work to standards above the legal minimum.

No, you can leave instructions for our drivers, they are very good at placing the bags where required.

Our extensive fleet has lorries with and without cranes and all lorries are able to tip. The cranes are usually able to drop the bag within a couple of meters of the lorry and over fences and hedges up to approx 2 meters.

The only definite time we can offer is the first drop of the morning, otherwise due to traffic and changes in routes there are no guarantees for delivery times. Please speak to the office at the time of order to book in the first delivery.
